On the horizon are TWO new docs on major music geniuses.  The first is on DAVID BOWIE …. (and it’s still so hard to believe that he died 10 years ago…).

David Bowie – The Final Act “his final chapter comes to light,” reads the trailer’s description in this doc directed by Jonathan Stiasny, in a production of U.K. Channel 4, Dogwoof and Rogan Productions. It promises that we will discover how the legendary artist transformed life, death, and creativity into his haunting masterpiece, Blackstar.which was released two days before his death on his 69th Birthday.  Bowie’s own words reveal a resurrection that continues to inspire, and will also feature interviews with Bowie insiders who knew and worked with him, along with famous celebs who were fans and inspired by him.

In 2022 when Baz Luhrmans feature film ELVIS was released it was niminated for 8 Academy Awards , and ended up winning 92 other awards from around the world including a Golden Globe for Austin Butler‘s remarkable star turn.  During the making of the film Luhrman and his editor Jonathan Redmond encountered  rare and never-before-seen footage of Elvis almost eight years ago.  He decided there and then that it would be his mission that Elvis should finally fulfill his unrealized dream to tour around the world. 

This new documentary features long-lost footage from Presley’s legendary Las Vegas residency in the 1970s, woven together with rare 16mm footage from Elvis on Tour, and precious 8mm from the Graceland archive, plus recordings of Elvis telling “his side of the story” rediscovered during Luhrmann’s research for his original movie
