Queer singer/songwriter Michael Hadreas, better known by his stage name Perfume Genius, has a new music video out “On The Floor”. Hadreas always wears his heart on his sleeve and his music explores topics including sexuality, his personal struggle with Crohn’s disease, domestic abuse, and the dangers faced by gay men in contemporary society.
Talking to the NY Times this weekend “I have this feeling that I’m turning in any direction and I want to kind of shed everything, like almost everything. But I want to keep the good stuff,” he said. “Or if it was bad, put it to rest in a warm way and send it off, you know what I mean?”
