Must See LGBTQ Movies coming this Fall

Two stunning highly-anticipated new LGBTQ movies  are having their world premieres in the prestigious Venice Film Festival this weekend and they just have to go on everyone’s must-see lists when they get released this Fall.

The Favourite is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (The Lobster) and is a  period drama about Queen Anne, who reigned over England, Scotland, and Ireland between 1702 and 1707. The movie hints at a royal-centric triangle involving the queen (Olivia Colman), her secret lover Sarah Churchill, Countess of Marlborough (Rachel Weisz) and the queen’s new maid and confidante, Abigail (Emma Stone). Abigail and Sarah will battle for power with any possible weapon, including seduction.

Take a look at this sizzling hot trailer and  the ‘Save The Date’  for US moviegoers is 23rd November but in the UK they will have to wait  until 1 January 2019.

Suspiria sees ‘Call Me By Your Name’s’ Luca Guadagnino. reunited with Tilda Swinton in this adaption of the original movie by horror auteur Dario Argento.

This highly stylised film  revolves around a world-renowned dance company with an obscure secret. A darkness will engulf the troupe’s artistic director, a committed young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist.  It also stars  Dakota Johnson and  Chloë Grace Moretz and the relationship between Johnson and Swinton’s characters seems to have sexual connotations.

Suspiria will screen  at the London Film Festival on 16 October 2018 and  will then be released in the US on 26 October 2018.

Plus of course the Festival will be the first to screen Lady Gaga in A Star is Born which no doubt we will all be drooling over come October 5th

P.S. Queerguru would love you to bits if you did us one tiny favor.  Despite the fact that we have had almost 297K hits on YouTube (yeah!) they will not give us a single cent of the advertising money that they make off us until we have more subscribers.  Won’t cost you a dime,  but it will help support our site. Just simply click on the link below.  Thank you very much!
