Mohsin Zaidi talks about his award-winning memoir A Dutiful Boy

Mohsin Zaidi award winning memoir A DUTIFUL BOY is the story of his remarkable journey from his humble beginnings growing up Anglo/Asian in London’s East End to becoming the first in his family to go to college …. but not just any one …. Oxford University …qualifying as a lawyer and then as a criminal barrister at one of the top chambers in England. Being gay in a devout Muslim family and coming out to himself was not without its struggles but Zaidi’s remarkably uplifting story, told so articulately, is a sheer inspiration that we had to know more about it.

Not content with just sitting back to enjoy his success, Zaid is now an advocate for LGBT rights, BAME representation and social mobility, Mohsin sits on the board of Stonewall and is listed by The Financial Times as a top future LGBT leader. A regular commentator on Sky News, he also writes for CNN Style, The i Newspaper, Bustle, Mr Porter and Newsweek. He was recently listed in The Lawyer Magazine Hot 100 and Attitude magazine named him a trailblazer changing the world.

Queerguru tracked him down to London as he came out of Court one day to film this exclusive interview with him
