Miami World OutGames so much more than just Sport

Double Take – Mosaic Dance Project

Miami’s World OutGames is so much more than just about sport. This 10 day global event is  also about culture and human rights and will present Pulse Points, which is an artistic response to the massacre at Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub last year. It will take the shape of an  experiential memorial that will fuse elements of dance, poetry, music and visual arts with 49 artistic expressions in remembrance of the 49 lives lost one year ago.

Curated by dance theater artist Octavio Campos and dancer/writer Cameron Basden, Pulse Points will unite as many as 200 artists from all different genres who will pay their respects and pay it forward. They will include special performances by the Orlando Gay Chorus plus experience other participating artists such as Adora, Fushu Daiko, Dale Andree,   Mosaic Dance Project, Pioneer Winter,  Dance NOW! Miami, David Rohn, Augosto Soledade Brazzdance (ASBD),  Natasha Tsakos, Reading Queer, Ceci Fernandez,  Gio Profera and James Cubby.

Pulse Points 6 pm to 10 pm on June 1, 2017 at the New World Center, 500 17th Street, Miami Beach. Tickets HERE
