Manchester UK PRIDE’s Gay Village Weekend Party

Manchester UK is so gaaaaaaay it’s where the original QUEER AS FOLK was set.   Years on and its world-famous Gay Village is host to Manchester Pride’s ultimate street part.  This year the organizers are planning to make it even more diverse by a space for all of the different members of our LGBTQ+ family to come together,

The line-up this year has been co-designed with Manchester’s queer communities in direct response to the Pride In Our Future report.   They deserve a big slap on the back for having both the insight and the balls to take an intense look at their own organization which ended in making necessary decisions about how to move forward.

The Gay Village Party is opening on Friday 26th August with a trans-led and curated event, Trans Filth & Joy, and will continue throughout the weekend with its most diverse program yet including takeovers from Black Pride MCR, Fat Pride and Queer Women’s Takeover.
