Madrid’s LGTBQ Pride would not be the same without its traditional High Heel Race, a sporting-festive event which this year celebrates its twenty-third edition in Pelayo Street and which involves finishing the course on platforms up to 15 centimeters high.
“I run because I think it’s something super original, very fun and a way to show the diversity that exists in Chueca (an area of Madrid known as Madrid’s gay neighborhood),” one of the winners in the race said.
