There doesn’t seem to be a day that goes by without Lil Nas X popping up in our inbox with news of his latest escapade these days. The controversial but loveable queer rapper and singer/songwriter certainly has a knack for grabbing headlines.
Since back in 2019 when Time named him as one of the 25 most influential people on the Internet, and then he was named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2020, it seems we cannot get enough of him.
It also seems that the man is full of surprise. We know that the 22-year-old rapper is more than a ‘little bit country’ as he was the first openly LGBT Black artist to win a Country Music Association award. What we didn’t really appreciate was how much respect he shows other musicians, like the fabulous treatment he makes of Dolly Parton’s classic Jolene. It feels that she wrote it just for him
