THE WOMEN’S FUND PRESENTS IN CELEBRATION OF WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
How Women Shaped a Movement through Photography, Art, Music, and Conversation
This exhibition series draws its title from Lesbian Land, a collection of writings by lesbians who founded lands in the 1970s and 1980s’ in an effort to drop out of society and form new revolutionary communities and bring about liberation.
Land dykes published women-authored books and magazines, supported musical networks, and made essential contributions to the history of photography.
The crucial history is for the most part unknown
