The Very British Lesbian Fiona Goodwin who has made LA her home these days sent Queerguru this Flyer thinking we may want to have a laugh with our mothers on ‘their big day’. With self-styled ‘raging nebbish Kim Diaz at the helm, his popular event has been going strong for 7 years now and has brought together some of the finest comedians around.
Featured performers this month are the iconic Robin Tyler, the hilarious Fiona Goodwin, the seriously funny Adam Gropman, and the lovely and talented Sarah Taylor. Bawdy and irreverent, the humor can be reminiscent of late-night television – without the censor.
Now back in the sanctuary at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Studio City, Laugh Out Proud will be both in-person and streaming live on Zoom for all to enjoy. Laugh Out Loud is an outreach program to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning communities, the show is for everyone (parental guidance suggested).
Although this is a free event, they do ask for donations for the comics. They will take whatever you want to give (no donation too small). The doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8.
