LA MAISON : a new French TV series about the high dramas within an iconic Paris-based high-fashion atelier.

Two of  (the many) things we love about the French are ‘fashion’ and ‘high drama’ and there is a brand new TV series that combine them perfectly La Maison, the upcoming French-language  drama is set within an iconic Paris-based high-fashion atelier.

Apple TV promise a behind-the-scenes look at the contemporary, ever-evolving world of fashion and aspirational French elegance and luxury, La Maison follows two illustrious, dysfunctional and powerful rival families as they vie for dominance in the cutthroat world of high fashion.

There  battle for control as a family business is thrown for a loop when its star designer, Vincent Ledu, leaves it.   The family brings in another designer to take Ledu’s place to save Maison LEDU. However, Diane Rovel of a powerful luxury brand, Rovel, sets her sights on acquiring the business come rain or sunshine. What no one knows is that she has ulterior motives.

The series offers a behind-the-curtains look into a family empire in crisis, and it blows open the secret lives of the world’s uber-rich fashionistas and the vices that drive them. The house is on the verge of falling from deceit and betrayal to competitiveness and rival

The producers have talked of a gay sub plot ….. hence the photo at the top of the page …. but they have released no other details at this stage . What we do know however is that no expense has been spared in its A list of starring actors. They include Lambert Wilson as Vincent Ledu, Amira Casar as Perle Foster, Zita Hanort as Paloma Castel, Carole Bouquet as Diane Rovel, and. Pierre Deladonchamps, Antoine ReinartzAnne Consigny, Florence Loiret CailleJi-Min Park.

The first two episodes will stream from Friday September 20, followed by a new episode every week until
Friday November 15, 2024.
