On Christmas Day Australia’s unofficial queen and their beloved gay icon Miss Kylie Minogue starred in a new lavish TV advert trying to persuade us all to go visit . The country that is, not necessarily her but she seemed so inviting that maybe she is part of the deal.
The advert which has Kylie popping up in all parts of the Country and is intended to persuade Brits to go visit And if she is enough to draw you there, they put openly gay hunky swimmer Ian Thorpe into the mix as well. Just as well as if you actually travel Down Under especially to see Kylie you may be a tad disappointed as she actually lives in London these days
The video has Kylie donning mechanic overalls, in a nod to her first big break in the soap opera, Neighbours, and later, lying on a beach towel, reprising her iconic video for the song, “Slow”.
Of course if Kylie (or Ian) are not enough to draw you there then you can always join the almost half million LGBTQ folk that flock to Mardi Gras in Sydney in January !
