Like so many other NY Bears, singer/songwriter Kyle Motsinger is heading to Provincetown this week and joining the ‘pack’. As well as partying and hanging by the pool with all the other hairy men, Motsinger will also be singing for his supper at the Post Office Cafe and Tin Pan Alley.
He told Queerguru about his latest inspiration for his new music : i.e. ‘Retro’. He said that it is a celebration of vintage fashion and his decision to “make my outside match the me inside!” He added “I’ve been really bored with today’s clothing styles. I’ve found that clothing used to be more colorful and bolder in design. I thought it would be fun to talk about this in a song that featured a throwback sound including funk, disco, and 80’s hair band rock! It’s all set to a beat that people can wiggle along to. Is it a deep, emotional song? Absolutely not! But I think people are just ready to party this summer and not dwell on the awful pandemic we have gone through. I asked my friends what they wanted to hear from me and that was exactly what they wanted: FUN! :
For the music video below Motsinger asked Tyler Jensen to direct , and his friend Addam Moreno to style his vintage looks including incredible wigs, plus another Ari Rosenbaum made him look gorgeous with his professional makeup skill The video also features the hilarious drag queen Michael “Pickles” Wakefield as the vintage store clerk.
