Justin Elizabeth Sayre wants us all to know our Gay to Z.

Justin Elizabeth Sayre is one of the funniest people we have ever had the joy to come across …. albeit a fleeting moment in PTown a summer or two ago. We originally got hooked on them when we discovered their infamous International of Sodermites of which Justin is the Chairperson.  If you have never heard of them (shame on you… ) you should know the I.O.S is the centuries-old secret organization of homosexuals and their friends who hold  ‘The Meeting’ at Joe’s Pub that sets the mythic gay agenda and celebrates the icons of gay culture.  (https://www.youtube.com/user/OrderofSodomites/videos)

The I.O.S. holds an enormously successful star-studded annual benefit for the Ali Forney Center called Night of a Thousand Judys’  (and if you don’t know which Judy it honors, then you so cannot be queer!). (Watch HERE ) And you really need Justin’s new book.

From Gay to Z  is a compendium that celebrates LGBTQIA+ history and culture, according to  Justin. It is a humorous collection of the rich legacy of gay culture, told through the letters of the alphabet. From ABBA to addiction, hair, and makeup to HIV, Fannie Flagg to fierce, Justin offers their own perspective on the things that have influenced gay culture today, including iconic figures, historical moments, ongoing issues in the LGBTQIA+ community, and everything in between. As gay culture is always evolving and different for everyone, this book does not serve as a definitive guide–instead, Justin encourages readers to use this knowledge to reflect on the things that have informed their personal identities. Engagingly written and beautifully designed, From Gay to Z is a distinctive and dynamic look at gay culture for LGBTQIA+ readers everywhere that you will not be able to put down
