Queerguru has always been a big fan of John Jarboe and The Bearded Ladies Cabaret, and we just knew even in the Pandemic he just wouldn’t be able to keep quiet. Check this out Meet the Beardmobile, a gay mobile performance unit glitterfully outfitted for socially-distanced performances and political actions. With neon LED lighting, high-powered speakers, a 6-foot retractable stage, and room for a three-piece band, this beaut is not only stunning but fully vers. Our 15-foot box truck will be the main stage for our upcoming series of outdoor performances in Philly, presented this April and May as part of Late Night Snacks 2021. We hope this truck serves as a hug from us to you. A socially-distanced hug, of course, in keeping with our comprehensive Covid-19 safety measures. In addition to protective vinyl shields to mitigate the spread of airborne germs, all passengers aboard the Beardmobile are required to follow CDC and city guidelines (masks at all times, 6 feet of distance) and the truck is sanitized daily. Our crew has also undergone an array of safety trainings, including Health Education Service’s Covid-19 Compliance Training. A Covid-19 Compliance Officer will be present at every stop on this lil’ love tour. We’ve got a slew of incredible partners, hosts, and artists riding shotgun on this journey, and we can’t wait to tell you all about them. ? XoXo,
