It’s been a busy week for Scissor Sister’s frontman the out-gay singer Jake Shears. It’s just been announced that he will be joining the cast of the Tony Award winning Kinky Boots on Broadway at the beginning of 2018 (which we think is an inspired piece of casting). He has also launched his solo music career with a new theatrical jam, “Creep City” from his forthcoming first solo record, which is available on YouTube. He will be playing the whole new album in NYC on Nov 12th at Elsewhere (tix here), and in London Nov 14th at Heaven (tix here).
