Jake Dupree the new Face (and Body) of Honey Birdette Lingerie

Nothing is bound to get all the transphobes/homophobes all worked up than seeing photos of very attractive non-binary people.  Especially when they are dressed in lingerie.  So when Honey Birdette, an Australian lingerie company posted several pictures of French model Jake DuPree wearing a three-piece lingerie outfit as part of an advertising campaign they faced a very hateful anti-LGBTQ+ backlash.

When Honey B’s advertising was published the anti-trans activists said that DuPree’s identity was a mental disorder.  Others accused them of being women haters. plus some anti-woke protesters said they would boycott the brand.

Honey Birdette has identified itself as a brand “for all” since its founding in 2006 and issued a statement saying that it would not tolerate hateful rhetoric and that gender-non-conforming people, including trans and non-binary people, are valid in their identities.

We will continue to use our voice to empower and support the LGBTQ+ community, women and anyone who wants to feel fabulous in our lingerie,” they added.

As Dupree said “Wear what you want to wear, be who you really want to be and have as much fun as possible doing what makes your heart happy.”
