In The Key of Q : new Podcast celebrates Queer Musicians from around the Globe

In the Key of Q is a new podcast series featuring music and conversation with Queer musicians from around the world.  Presented and produced by London-based Dan Hall, the show aims to celebrate these musicians, their lives and their music, it publishes every Tuesday (“Quesday”) and is available at inthekeyofq.com on most platforms.

When I grew up I felt invisible, never hearing pop songs where men sang about other men,’ says presenter and producer Dan Hall. “But today there are plenty of artists out there singing songs about sex and love between men. This podcast aims to celebrate those musicians and raise the profile of their music so we can feel connected, heard and not alone.

This week Dan’s guest on In the Key of Q is melancholic singer-songwriter and Madonna remixer, Paul Andrews, which is available from 11th May.

Paul writes and performs complex, beautifully produced records with a touch of maturity and even melancholy. His 2019 album Light and Dust is a testament to love, loss and living.

Paul talks about his experiences writing and remixing for artists such as Madonna and Phyllis Hyman; he reveals how the murder of a friend inspired him back into music; his theories on reincarnation and his almost all-consuming love for his husband, Tom
