Not all the art at this week’s ART BASEL in Miami is hanging on walls.  For example, interdisciplinary artist (and cultural worker and dancer)  Edrimael Delgado Reyes, is conducting a Performances & Voguing Workshop. As a former member of The Legendary House of Lauren, International. In Puerto Rico  he has walked and mentored  fellow dancers in the West Coast Ball scene

Reyes holds an M.F.A. in Dance from Mills College, and a B.A. in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity from Stanford University.  He setup performance convergence spaces for the LGBTQ+ community through LaBoriVogue, the first vogue laboratory using Ballroom as an agent of liberation, individual transformation and collective justice

As part of Ten North Group’s Art of Transformation program lineup, this event takes place on Friday, December 8 at The Pavilion in Opa-Locka from 7.00 to 10 pm.
