A few years in the making Humans of Pride is a celebration of how in June 2019 New York opened its doors to the first WorldPride ever hosted in the United States.  It was the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots a history-breaking life-changing  event that sparked a worldwide movement.

The documentary is being created and directed by TV Producer Kevin Coop (Project Runway )  and he  recruited an all-volunteer crew of young LGBTQ activists to capture the making of the historic event.

During the course of filiming he interviewed a plethora of celebrities, activists, and leaders, from all corners of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. They included, Dustin Lance Black, Dominique Jackson, Charley Beal, Richard Socarides, Corey Johnson, Marti Gould Cummings, Fabrice Houdart, James Patterson, Alaska, Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela, Yvie Oddly, Alyssa Edwards, David Studinski, Maryanne Roberto Fine, Cathy Renna, and the ubiquitous Billy Porter

Coop has said that “This film is not just art, but a blueprint for the next generation of LGBTQIA+ activists and visionaries willing to fight for the great change of tomorrow.”
