Hudson Williams shares the short movie he made before ‘HEATED RIVALRY’ made him such a big star

Before Heated Rivalry proved to be such a major breakthrough for its two stars this year, one of them Hudson Williams made (and produced)  a short drama HOLD YOUR BACK.  The film follows two men “going through a violent yet passionate breakup,” with Williams starring opposite Vancouver-based actor and filmmaker Zack Fonzovs, who also served as director, writer, and editor

On social media, Fonzovs revealed that the five-minute film was made in 2024 for the Shits N Giggles Film Festival “and ever since then it’s just been living on my hard drive.”  Now you can view it below:-

Meanwhile, when Williams was asked about the progress of a season 2 of Heated Rivalry,  “Someone has told me July or August, but I really don’t know.” The actor followed up that question with another detail concerning his fitness leading up to the second season. “I’m gaining 10 pounds for season 2,” Williams remarked. “10 lean pounds.”

Casey Bloys, CEO and content chairman of HBO and Max, confirmed that Heated Rivalry season 2 will keep being available for U.S. audiences via streaming on HBO Max, but interestingly, they  will continue to run the Heated Rivalry franchise in season 2 without having to share any creative decisions with international distribution partners — even one as big as HBO Max in the U.S.  Its all excellent news in light of all the queer TV cancellations that have been announced mainly from Netflix lately,

And to all out British readers you will soon discover what the whole world had been raving about as Heated Rivalry lands on Sky and NOW on 10 January 2026.
