If like queerguru you have been hanging on for the promised second series of Brian Jordan Alvarez’s deliciously funny web-series The Gay & Wondrous Life of Caleb Gallo then we can tell you that there is good news and bad news. The ‘bad’ is that there is still no sign of it, but the ‘good’ is that Lionsgate commissioned Alvarez to develop it into a TV series. (p.s. click on the link to read queerguru’s review on series 1)
However the very prolific actor/writer/director/producer who is fast becoming a queerguru favorite has his several other projects going on that look equally fascinating and probably quite fab too. There is his very first feature film EVERYTHING IS FREE which he has just completed and about which he commented “And there may or may not be full frontal nudity in the film. You know what I mean?“
Meanwhile with his latest webseries How To Be A Slut in America : Part I, there is no ‘maybe’ as in the course of this very witty dramedy about his character’s sex life, Alvarez is happy to lay bare his naked talent too. He has an absurdly wickedly funny take on life which we find totally hilarious, but we know that this wonderfully sardonic humor of his may not resonate with everyone. It’s their loss.
