How do they celebrate a queer Christmas in Sydney Australia with temps in the 80’s?

We’re guessing the answer must be surfing on Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach as the city is home to 40% of all the gay men in Australia.  It may be hot (in more ways than one) but we have been assured that queer life goes in as usual at Christmas.  I mean has a mere heat ever put off any drag queen dressing to the nines with several layers of makeup slapped on her face?

Word has reached us that some of the best drag can be found at the city’s Seymour Center  (appropriately in a suburb called Chippendale) where Trevor Ashley, one of Australia’s most prolific drag artists, is onstage for his own production Moulin Scrooge.  There is a bigger buzz than usual as it has been announced that Carlotta , one of the country’s most glamorous show girls is joining he show

In the heyday of Kings Cross, there was only one place that really put it on the map. and was the Moulin Beige Moulin Scrooge is the story of Kings Cross showgirl, Saton  (Ashley) who desperately wants to save the Beige where she works at, all while fighting Long Covid. Willing to do anything, and anyone, to save the club, Saton is in a race against the clock as the shadow of gentrification darkens Kings Cross.
