Have you noticed how Tenors love to sing and travel in packs. This trend seemed to have started during the early 1990s with Plácido Domingo and José Carreras, and Luciano Pavarotti performing as the Three Tenors. They were such a success that they paved the way for the Four Tenors, Five Tenors, Six etc. Each of them may not have become superstars like the original trio but they have all been carving their own niches around the globe.
The Ten Tenors may be the biggest of these groups, and since they formed in Australia in 1995 they have toured extensively nationally and internationally and released 15 albums and 4 DVDs. After all who could not fail to be moved by 10 handsome guys of different shapes and sizes bringing us to tears with their harmonizing of Puccini’s Nessum Dorma ?
One of their favorite venues is McCallum Theatre, in the gay heartland of Palm Desert where they are returning for
Valentine’s Day, with a show featuring their greatest hits from the past 25 years. The TEN Tenors will perform
seven shows, from Wednesday, Feb. 9, through Monday, Feb. 14.
