Fabulosity returns to West Palm Beach! High Gloss 2018 is the 2nd edition of The Box Gallery’s yearly fashion extravaganza highlighting the art of fashion and design opens with a reception on July 14, 2018, at 7 p.m. This year they will be bringing together artists and fashionistas together to honor fashion and interior design icon Barbara Hulanicki of England’s famous BIBA shop on Kensington High Street in the 1970’s
Biba was epicenter of cool. According to her friend Twiggy, ‘She changed fashion in England singlehanded. Barbara recalls, “Members of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Kinks frequently dropped in. Twiggy used to pop into my shop in Brighton every Saturday and I used to think ‘Who is that beautiful skinny girl? She was a real privilege to get to know.”

As it has become the custom at The Box Gallery openings you can expect to mingle among many American and European artists, writers, photographers, and socialites. Notable invitees include fashion designer Damian Rojo and Ash Rana, artist Nicole Galluccio, and photographers James Eisele and Flavio Iryoda who will be showcasing their own creative talents thought out the month-long exhibition which includes a special screening of “BEYOND BIBA A Portrait of Barbara Hulanicki” on July 21, 2018, at the gallery.
Topping off the evening will be NYC Li’l Marsh who will be spinning tunes from the heyday of London’s music scene and an Award for Best Dressed Drag Queen of the night selected by Barbara Hulanicki.
The project is organized by The Florida Arts Association and curator Rolando Chang Barrero.
