Ukrainian-born artistic director and Jewish immigrant, Igor Golyak, along with the Arlekin Players Theatre team in Needham, MA yesterday launched #ArtistsforUkraine,a campaign of hope for Ukraine. As artists, we can help people in need in Ukraine by sharing messages of encouragement, peace and solidarity, and by raising critical and immediate humanitarian aid for Ukraine (the fundraiser is for Nova Ukraine). Arlekin is inviting the community to join them and help. Here’s how:
- Record a video of no more than 2 minutes, or choose an image to share.
- Say your name and where you are from in the video or in your typed message.
- Include this text in your post: “Please donate now to provide immediate and critical humanitarian support in Ukraine: bit.ly/artists4ukraine
- Add these tags: #ArtistsforUkraine #Artists4Ukraine @ArlekinPlayers
- Optional: Invite others to participate by adding “Join me” and tagging other artists.
- Please address your performance or message directly to the people of Ukraine, offering support, prayers, healing, and encouragement. Any artistic art form or expression is welcome (a song, a photograph, a monologue, a poem, reading of a message, musical performance, or other).
