Filmmaker Harris Doran and Newfest’s Programming Director Nick McCarthy and filmmaker Anto(n) Astudillo have  curated a beautiful evening of short films for World AIDS Day  Astudillo. It will be at the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center in partnership with NewFest. It’s  Monday at 7pm, with a food a drinks mixer at 6pm. It’s FREE and a very  powerful evening that  you will be very moved by.

The progam includes Stanley Stellar: Here For This Reason : an excellent profile on veteran queer photographer who, has for the last five decades documented the slowly expanding boundaries of “acceptability” for the gay community… one that started out as little more than a narrow intersection in the West Village, a corner of Greenwich Avenue and Christopher Street. His acute observations make for compelling viewing oin how our community evolve and eventually survive even through the AIDS pandemic
