Grayson Perry a self styled ‘bloke-in-a-dress’ wants to teach you How To Paint

Grayson Perry is an extremely successful and very well respected  English contemporary artist, writer and broadcaster.

He is considered something of a National Treasure who is known for his ceramic vases, tapestries and as well as his observations of the contemporary arts scene.  Winner of the prestigious  Tate Gallery’s Turner Prize, and also named as one of 100 Most Influential people in British culture, this quintessential English eccentric has also established a considerable reputation for dissecting British “prejudices, fashions and foibles”.

He is also the only cross-dresser who has worn womens clothing to Buckingham Palace to meet Prince Charles who on behalf  the Queen invested Perry with the honor of Companion of British Empire for Services To The Arts.

Perry’s TV appearances have introduced himself and his work to much wide audience (albeit mainly in the UK) enabling a whole dialogue about transvestism  and de-mystifying it for the general public.  Its his frankness and considerable a charm that has made him a well-loved media star winning two Royal Television Society Awards and two BAFTA’s along the way.

In fact in 2017/2018 the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool mounted as exhibition, Making Himself Claire: Grayson Perry’s Dresses.
