Nine years again to celebrate the launch of BBC Music in the UK an assortment of very talented musicians got together to record a cover version of Brian Wilson’s (Beach Boys) classic God Only Knows. When the single was released as a charity single for Children in Need 2014,they were collectively credited as the Impossible Orchestra.
The music video, directed by François Rousselet, showed the artists in lavish, fantastical computer-generated settings. Wilson, who was part of the recording said “All of the artists did such a beautiful job […] I can’t thank them enough, I’m just honored that ‘God Only Knows’ was chosen. ‘God Only Knows’ is a very special song. An extremely spiritual song and one of the best I’ve ever written
