Diana Ross, who at 81 years old stunned the crowd at The Met Gala this year adorned in feathers and sporting a jaw-dropping 18-foot-long train. It took five men to carry the star’s hand-embroidered ivory white accessory, which enveloped the carpeted steps when laid flat. But hidden in the yards of fabric was a small detail many may have missed. “It has stitched the names of all my children and my eight grandchildren”. One of those children is actress 51-year-old Tracee Ellis Ross, and until an email popped into my intray earlier today, I had no idea that glamour was hereditary.
She is known mainly for starring in two hit TV series Girlfriends and Blackish, and she won a Golden Globe Award for the latter ….. following in the steps of her mother, who won her Golden Globe over 50 years ago for The Lady Sings The Blues.
Now in Tracee’s new TV series SOLO TRAVELLING, she plays herself. Having never married, she revels in the fact that she can travel whenever or wherever she wants. Now she is packing her bags and inviting audiences to join her trips to Morocco, Mexico, and Spain to experience the joy of solo travel. Sometimes the best travel companion is yourself. The good, the bad, the wtf, the realizations, the outfits…come along as I travel the world, wear my pretty clothes and enjoy my own company. This is me enjoying my own company while I immerse, unplug, and indulge out in the world.”
We are totally hooked just by watching the trailer, which is just a mere 1.5 mins long. We may never ever get to travel like this, but meanwhile, it’s just good to soak up the sight of the sheer joy Tracee gets from her indulgence. After all, she has the family reputation of being glamorous to keep up with
SOLO TRAVELING WITH TRACEE ELLIS ROSS, streams July 25 free on The Roku Channel.
