If there is one filmmaker that the whole QUEERGURU team always gets very excited about it is the 7 time Oscar Nominee Wes Anderson who is truly an auteur in the real sense of the word. With his long list of what we consider are cinematic masterpieces such as The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, Moonrise Kingdom and of course The Grand Budapest Hotel he still manages to surpass himself time and time again.
His latest film that we will have to wait until July to see ( shame on you Searchlight Pictures ) is THE FRENCH DISPATCH which brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city.
As usual Anderson has gathered together a cast of acting luminaries who include Benicio Del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright Owen Wilson Saoirse Ronan Bill Murray , Christoph Waltz Willem Dafoe Edward Norton Liev Schreiber and an unrecognisable Timothée Chalamet
We just cannot stop playing this first trailer over and over again today. Anderson has really out Anderson himself.
Tomorrow we may go sit in front of the movie theater and just wait until the movie opens ……..
