Emma Corrin : shining star in ‘Lady Chatterleys’ Lover’ on Netflix and ‘Orlando’ on the London stage

 

 

 

Brit non-binary actor Emma Corrin shot to fame playing Diana Princess of Wales in Season 4 of The Crown and for which they won a Golden Globe and SAG Award.  They have left the part and will not be playing the older Diana in Season 5 which is just about to be released on Netflix.

It has however been a very busy year for them. A starring role in My Policeman playing an innocent wife who married a closeted gay man back in 1950s’.  Even though the film got mixed reviews Queerguru wrote at the timeEmma Corrin completely captures Marion’s innocence and how it gradually turns into real hate when the truth is revealed.  “

 

 

Now in a few weeks’ time, Netflix is about to release a new take on LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER based on the classic once-banned novel with  Corrin playing the lead.  It’s a role that suits them so perfectly as you can see from the trailer below. and it really seems we are in for a real treat. 

 

 

Directed by the award-winning Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre (Mustang) it also carries on the tradition of Corrin having exceptional handsome leading men.  Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, Harry Styles in My Policeman and now  Jack O’Connell as her groundkeeper lover.

 

 

 

Whilst that is playing on the small screen Corrin is returning to the London stage to take the lead role in Neil Bartlett’s stage adaptation of the Virginia Woolf novel Orlando. It reunites Corrin with director Michael Grandage, who also helmed My Policeman.  It’s set in Elizabethan times when young nobleman Orlando begins his search for identity as he embarks on one of the greatest adventures in all of literature. Traveling through time and place he is catapulted into the court of King James, falls in love with a Russian princess, witnesses London freeze over, and wakes up under the blazing sun of Constantinople transformed into a young woman. She continues her journey up to the present day in search of happiness, self-knowledge, and the courage to answer one fundamental question … WHO AM I? ​​Corrins’ co star is award-winning Brit actor Deborah Findlay
