The film critic, writer and professor Emanuel Levy talks to Roger Walker-Dack @ Provincetown Community Television about his ninth book Gay Directors, Gay Films? that has just been published. Levy, a part-time resident of Provincetown and the former Chief Critic of Variety and Screen International, said that this latest book is his most personal to date and is dedicated to the memory of his late companion Rob Remley. It’s a totally fascinating read that deals with one central issue: the effects of sexual orientation on the career, film output, and sensibility of five homosexual directors viz Pedro Almodovar, Terence Davies, Todd Haynes, Gus Van Sant and John Waters.
