Dolly Parton made me do it ……

Netflix has a potential smash hit on its way with the December release of the hilariously sounding comedy DUMPLIN.  Based on the novel of the same name, it stars Jennifer Anniston as Rosie Dickson the queen of her small Texas town’s pageant scene. Her life is about to be disrupted when her daughter Willowdean, an outspoken plus-sized teenager who’s known as Will to her friends and Dumplin’ to her mother, decides that she wants to also enter the Miss Teen Blue Bonnet Pageant.

Will, played by the wonderful Danielle MacDonald (Patti Cake$)  confidently ignores comments about her weight and listens to Dolly Parton songs obsessively. When she decides to enter Mom’s pageant encourages other contestants to follow in her footsteps, and they  trot off to the local gay bar to get advice from the best ……i.e. drag queens.
