Despite Simon Cowell’s hesitation queer singer/songwriter David Hernandez made it through to the Semi-Final of American Idol season 7, and won unanimous praise from the other judges.
It was also disclosed at the time that in a past live Hernandez had worked as a nude male stripper at a gay strip club, called Dick’s Cabaret, in Phoenix, Arizona. Looking at him now, it’s easy to assume that he was a big hit with the clientele.
Now he has a very successful career as an R&B/pop singer releasing new music (see below) and as he is unable to tour during Lockdown he has been regular performing Virtual Shows online.
