South African dancer Johannes Radebe has been appearing on Strictly Come Dancing the BBC TV show in the UK since 2018, but it wasn’t until he was one half of the show’s first-ever same-sex dancing couples that he really started to win over hearts. His partner was an openly gay chef John Waite who had been a winner of The Great British Bake Off Show in 2012.
Radebe and Waite made an electrifying pair that both stunned and delighted TV audiences and their appearances were considered a major breakthrough for primetime television. They even made it to the final round of the competition but sadly had to settle with being runner-ups.
The very good-looking Radebe has great flair and advanced fashion taste which he showed to great acclaim on a recent appearance on Graham Norton’s TV Show. Strangely for such very charismatic person, Radebe is immensely coy about his personal life choosing to leave us all guessing. He was however very voluble about his first-ever tour of the UK.
Entitled ‘Freedom’, the show will fuse Latin and Ballroom with contemporary African dance, highlighting Radebe’s own personal journey from his childhood in South Africa to traveling the world and becoming an international champion of the sport.
The tour runs from 17 March to 1 May 2022, opening in Bridlington before heading to Nottingham, Ipswich, Northampton, Newcastle, Barnstaple, Guildford, Swansea, Crewe, Peterborough, Southend, Cheltenham, Bromley, Sheffield, Manchester, Poole, Dartford, Bradford, Birmingham, York, Swindon, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Brighton, Kings Lynn, Grimsby, Carlisle, Hull, Llandudno, Cardiff, Blackpool, Torquay, New Brighton, Bath and Canterbury.
We are keeping all our digits crossed that he will have the whole event filmed and stream it online at the very least …… and maybe next embark on a more global tour.
