Courtney Charles arrives in PTown with ‘DOLL’ an unmissable exhibit of queer art

Courtney Charles is one of the new boys in town.  This New York based queer artist is making his P Town debut this week with a stunning exhibit at the Adam Peck Gallery called DOLL.

This is Charles’s homage to Barbie’s too often neglected boyfriend KEN that nearly every gay boy lusted after one time or another when he was growing up. In a series of photographs that Charles has mounted on aluminium, he has explored the sexual attraction and realism of the doll that we should have been allowed to play with when we were kids coming to terms with our sexuality.

It is always great to welcome new queer art to our Town, especially when it is such a real provocative delight as and heralds a refreshing new talent.
