Clifford Chance celebrate “Change” with their stunning global LGBTQ art exhibitions

Clifford Chance are kind of a big deal.  They are one of the world’s pre-eminent law firms, with a significant depth and range of resources across five continents.  As a single, fully integrated, global partnership, they pride themselves on our approachable, collegial, and team-based way of working.

They came on our radar because for the past 15 years its Arcus network has celebrated PRIDE with the largest corporate supported exhibition of artworks by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT+) and supporter artists.  It is a stunning singular example of the real support a major corporation can give to our community, and we applaud them so heartily for this .

They will deliver an immersive virtual gallery focused on the theme of “Change”, allowing visitors to explore Pride Art exhibits from Amsterdam, the Americas, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Luxembourg, Singapore, Tokyo and the United Kingdom. The firm’s global (virtual) choir ensemble has recorded a performance of 1920s New York writer and singer Cole Porter’s Let’s do it. This song represents the first time in mainstream culture where a writer deliberately missed out “he” and “she” and replaced them with “me” and “you”, and “them” and “us”.

The London Gallery has an exhibition based on the themes found in Gabriel García Márquez’s novel Love In The Time of Cholera. Curator Michael Petry says “this year’s exhibition is a diary of a hard year with love, sex, disease and death as constant companions or contemplations. It is in a way a queer image diary of life in a troubled time.
