Ben SantaMaria: Really Want To Hurt Me

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , ,

On the eve of opening at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, writer/director Ben Santa Maria talks about REALLY WANT TO HURT ME: a funny & painfully honest new play about a gay schoolboy’s rocky road from suicidal self-hatred to finding self-esteem in 1980s Devon.

The interview with Roger Walker-Dack was filmed via Facetime

TAB HUNTER: Hollywood heartthrob, movie star and a real gentleman

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , ,

When we first met the iconic movie star and former Hollywood heartthrob Tab Hunter to film an interview, he walked up and introduced himself.  So totally unnecessary as even in his 80’s he still had his same handsome look, but Tab was very much a total gentleman and a charming one at that.

He has just passed away aged 86. and so Queerguru wanted to re-issue the delightful interview we filmed with him at Provincetown Film Society & Festival two years ago when he was promoting Tab Hunter Confidential.

It was a sheer joy and privilege to meet him and his husband Allan Glaser to whom our thoughts and sympathy go out today for his loss.

R.I.P.  TAB HUNTER : July 11, 1931  - July 8, 2018 (aged 86)

Gaston Lacombe : a new queer artist rides into P Town

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , ,

Following his heart (and his BF) queer artist GASTON LACOMBE has just moved to PTown and opened his very first Studio/Gallery. His next exhibit BODY MOSAICS that opens for the town’s Bear Week is stunning homoerotic queer art that will make everyone re-think about how they really feel about their bodies.

Sam Morrison wants to say Hello, Daddy!

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , ,

Queerguru spoke to the very funny Sam Morrison, a queer NY comedian who MOGUL said was one of the ‘comics to watch in 2018’, on the eve of bringing his raunchy One Man Show HELLO, DADDY! for a short run at the Pilgrim House in Provincetown just in time for Bear Week.  Be warned: he’s looking for some hot new Daddies

The Captain’s Daughters serve up way more than just Tea

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels ,

Last summer Ptown welcomed two new nautical women to our shores. The Captain’s Daughters Tea Room is a delightful spot not just for tea aficionados but their Boutique facing the Ocean hosts eclectic art exhibits and has a tempting array of carefully curated must-have accoutrements.

Queerguru spent time with Meghan OConnor & Dani Niedzielski to find out why the came ashore here, and also to throw some delicious shade.
