The beautiful haunting lyrical ballad that is Ireland’s Official Entry to this year’s Eurovision Contest is Together and is the reason why for the first time in years that Ireland has made it to the Final. It’s the story of a relationship that didn’t run the path of true love that young singer/songwriter Ryan O’Shaughnessy had expected.
What makes the song even more remarkable, and immensely more watchable is that when he performs he is accompanied by a same-sex couple dancing which adds a whole new dimension.
25-year-old Ryan is well-known to UK TV audiences as he reached the final of the sixth series of Britain’s Got Talent in May 2012, finishing in fifth place, as well as appearing on the first series of The Voice of Ireland.
