It takes more than a Covid pandemic for most ‘Broadway Babies; to stop singing Sondheim out loud even when wearing masks. Here’s one of our favorites the irrepressible Seth Sikes with his take on “What More Do I Need”, as he cavorts around NY City……mostly keeping his distance. His message is very clear : even when you’re wearing a Covid mask, New York City remains the fabulous center of the universe.
Mind you Sikes has not been in the City all summer, like every good gay man he escaped to Fire Island. But while others were taking in the rays on the beach, he was naturally making music. Although in this video with his take on Judy Garland singing Happy Harvest form Summer Stock, he seems to be focusing on cruising the crowd rather than singing to them.
