Ben Rimalower the NY based queer actor/writer/director/ producer/performer has always been overly fond of glamour. After all he stalked none other than Miss Patti Lupone for several years with his award-winning one man play ‘Patti Issues’.
Now he is letting Miss Lupone of the hook and has transferred his passion to The Real Housewives of New York City. star Luann de Lesseps better known as Countess Luann after she shed herself of her husband the Count but held onto the title. Well you would, wouldn’t you. The Countess leads a very colorful on and off the screen some of which we’ll leave to the tabloids
In 2018 she headlined her own cabaret show, called Countess And Friends directed by none other than Mr Rimalower. It opened at Feinstein’s/54 Below in Midtown Manhattan and featured the Countess singing songs about her glamorous life . She wasn’t alone on the stage and had appearances from celebrity friends like Rachel Dratch and Housewives co-star Sonja Morgan.
It was such a success that last summer the Countess took the Show on the road and with Ben Rimalower clutching his directors chair, and she persuaded a whole coterie of celeb performers to become her “friends” at different dates on the Tour. If you check out her website, you’ll notice that she has a very impressive list of Friends.
One of her dates this Summer will be in Provincetown as it is Mr Rimalower’s home from home, and he knows how much we love glitz and glamour here . There will be just TWO shows on ONE night : August 24th and tickets at $57 & $77 from TICKETMASTER with the early show practically sold out already.
