To say we are loving Lady Gaga‘ tenth anniversary edition of Born This Way is a gross understatement. We so applaud all the new covers by some of the very best artists from the LGBTQIA+ community. In this instance, it’s none other than Tony Award winner Ben Platt with his rousing version of Yoü and I.
Platt, the star of Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway signed with Atlantic Records and released his first album, Sing to Me Instead. In May 2020, a concert film titled Ben Platt Live from Radio City Music Hall, debuted on Netflix.
Also on Gaga’s celebratory album are Big Freedia with a groovy cover of the album’s second single “Judas,” country-pop star Orville Peck and his cover of Gaga’s own “Born This Way (The Country Road Version),” Kylie Minogue with “Marry the Night,” and Years & Years recorded a rendition of “The Edge of Glory,”
