For his performance in the Broadway Musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN picked up a Tony, Grammy and Emmy. Oh yes he won the Drama League’s Distinguished Performance Award too, and if that was not enough he was ranked among the Time 100 list of the world’s most influential people when he was only 23.
Did we mention he is handsome as hell too? And gay.
In Ryan Murphy’s new series The Politician, Platt plays the lead role of a ambitious closeted gay politician with a starry supporting cast that includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Bette Midler, Dylan McDermott., Bob Balaban. Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton and January Jones.
The day after it airs Platt will be performing at Radio City Music Hall in New York singing songs from the new album. Then he goes back to working on his latest project a movie adaption of Stephen Sondheim’s classic Musical MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG which Richard Linklater is directing.
This boy (well he is 26 years old now) is headed for the giddy heights of stardom, and it couldn’t happen to a nicer person
