If you love really bizarre comedy but have never heard of Chris Lilley yet, then thanks to his new TV series that debuts on Netflix on April 19th, then that is all about to change. The Australian comedian/writer and award-winning actor is a very big star Down Under for a whole series of rather brillant Mockumentaries.
His new show is aptly called LUNATICS as it features a group of really eccentric characters with different ‘talents’ or oddities. They include a pet psychic, a young Instagrammer, a Realtor with a big ass, a former porn star and current hoarder, a fashion designer with a sexuality disorder, and a YouTuber who also happens to be seven-foot-three. In the past few hours Lilley has been accused of doing blackface for a lesbian character which may affect the success of his otherwise hilarious new show.
