The International Imperial Courts of the Americas is the fascinating world of the people drawn to having a great deal of fun dressing up whilst assuming a more serious purpose (community-oriented fundraising,) Although this LGBTQ+ Group is celebrating its 60th Anniversary it is little known outside the organization, but that may change now thanks artist/photographer BEN FINK’s “Noble Deeds: Mythic Portraits of the Imperial Court”. Its the first to showcase the pageantry and philanthropy of one of the oldest LGBTQ+ organizations. Made over a period of 7 years, “Noble Deeds” captures numerous iconic personalities through various dream-like images.
He talked to QUEERGURU on the eve of part of his book Tour. and when he lands at the Stonewall Museum + Library they are also mounting an Exhibit of the images “The Imperial Sun Court of all Florida”
