Queer Literary giant Armistead Maupin has a new book out which is always such major news. It’s called Mona Of The Manor which is naturally part of the Tales of The City saga. This story of Mona Ramsay actually fits somewhere in the middle of this queer epic as opposed to being any sort of sequel.
We found out about all of this (and more) when Maupin did his first reading on TV on Damien Barr’s program The Big Scottish Book Show, Barr is a queer author and broadcaster who also runs his own very successful Literary Salon. Although we have only just discovered his TV show, it actually is in its 4th season. He’s an extremely charismatic and articulate host with a real passion for books, and it’s easy to see why Maupin chose this particulate program to launch this latest addition to the Tales of The City series.
