Anything Goes : Megan Mullally finally makes her London Stage Debut

The fabulous Emmy & SAG Award Winner Megan Mullally (the one and only Karen Walker) is the perfect person to help London Theatres open again after this long wretched Lockdown.  She’s heading to the Barbican Theatre to co-star with Tony, Olivier & BAFTA Award Winner Robert Lindsay  in a very welcome revival of the one all-time greatest musicals Anything Goes

This production of Cole Porter & P.G. Wodehouse’s classic musical will be directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. Her Broadway production of Anything Goes was a major smash hit and received huge critical acclaim.  The revival was nominated for nine Tony Awards and 10 Drama Desk Awards, winning Best Musical Revival and Best Choreography at both ceremonies.

This is both Mullaly and Marshall West End debuts and will have a strictly limited 15-week engagement.

This does mean that the other project that Mullay was working on with her husband Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreations) will be literally put on ice for the time being.  The pair have been working with  Adam Devine and Laura Bell Bundy on a  hilarious and irreverent new musical ICEBOY at the Pasadena Playhouse.

From the co-creators of the Broadway hits The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Urinetown: The Musical. Iceboy! tells the absolutely untrue story of a 10,000-year-old Neanderthal who’s discovered frozen in the Arctic, brought to New York, and adopted by Vera Vimm (Mullally), the biggest Broadway star of 1938. But once thawed, Iceboy (Devine) becomes an acting sensation whose talents threaten to upstage the once-mighty Vera. It’s All About Eve if only Eve were a caveman.

Watch this space for when this fab new Show will open.
