The Covid Lockdown may have made several of us question our own sanity or get extra creative in dealing with our restricted lives. Our friend actor/performer Andre Jordan (just about to make his Broadway debut in the musical Diane) did both.
Andre created The Comfy Kush where every Sunday at 8pm on Instagram he attempts to read a Children’s Book after smoking a generous amount of weed. He is not only hilarious BUT each week he seeks donations to seek different Theaters of Color. The one we have included above is “Go The Fuck To Sleep” by Adam Mansbach Illustrated by Ricardo Cortes and the money raised was for “Youth Ensemble of Atlanta” Last year he raised over $1000 to benefit the theaters…… the money for the weed comes out of his own pocket
Andre is extremely talented and as funny as hell: check out one of his shows and you’ll be swept away by his infectious energy and passion. Even if you are not as high as a kite.
