American popstar and fearless LGBTQ advocate Miley Cyrus released the music video for her song “Angels Like You,” which was shot during her TikTok tailgate performance ahead of the Super Bowl last month. The video features Cyrus rocking a pink and black jersey while performing in front of a mask-wearing crowd. At the end of the video, Cyrus includes a handwritten for her fans. “The audience here is fully vaccinated health care workers who have been fearlessly and tirelessly fighting COVID-19. We all look forward to being together again and this can happen sooner than we may have thought with vaccines becoming more available. Each of us can help stop the pandemic by being vaccinated. Together we can make the experience of live music a reality again.” I could not agree more – Trust the facts. Get the Vax!
Justin Bieber released a powerful (and intense!) video for his new song “Hold On.” The video portrays Bieber and actress Christine Ko – a couple who desperately need money for cancer treatment to save Ko’s life. Faced with this unimaginable task and in an act of complete desperation, Bieber spray paints a toy gun and robs a bank, which leads to an intense police chase as he tries to get away on his motorcycle. The video concludes with Bieber racing through the hospital halls ultimately reuniting with his partner. The power of LOVE – it has no limits nor bounds.
Argentine actor and singer queer heartthrob Juan Pablo Di Pace recently released his first Spanish-song “Te Senti.” The music video depicts a love story between two men and a woman, set against a romantic flamenco backdrop. Di Pace explains that “Te Sentí” is a love letter to my Spanish roots and the flamenco sounds that get under your skin pretty deep. I was inspired by the feeling of losing someone, and that immobilizing pain you feel when you know it just cannot be.” Exquisitely done.
Maroon 5 debuts the music video for their latest hit single “Beautiful Mistakes” in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion. The video takes viewers on a LA drive, which turns into a surreal fantasy with a colorful world of flying cars and a fluorescent, psychedelic trip. Levine is stuck in the past reminiscing about his life with his ex. The lyrics are accentuated with a pop melody and become completely transcended when Megan chimes in with the clap back rap beat melody to kill. Mic. Drop.
